   Self-arranged physician shadowing at Kaiser Permanente South Bay through independent cold-calling and cold-emailing, observing a pediatrician through full eight-hour clinical shifts over the same two-year period as hospital volunteer service

   Independent Researcher @ Cabrillo Marine Aquarium Young Scientists Program

   Conducted year-long independent research on the effect of varying colors of light on algae/diet growth, working in the aquarium's lab between sophomore and junior year

   Served as a student ambassador representing her high school on the LAUSD Board District 7 Student Advisory Council, developing and presenting campaigns on student and community issues for consideration by the superintendent
